Pet First Aid and CPR

This class is taught live via zoom. When you sign up your instructor will reach out to arrange a time to meet. This course may be taught privately or as part of a group. People aren't the only members of our families that can experience injuries and medical emergencies. Our pets are important parts of our lives, and this course will give you the knowledge you need to identify and provide basic treatment for common illnesses and injuries that our dogs and cats can experience. Using ProPetHero's veterinarian approved curriculum, your certified instructor will cover: - Safety when caring for injured pets - Wellness checks - Bleeding control - Choking -Poisoning - CPR for dogs and cats -Safe moving of injured animals -Splinting and fractures - Heat and Cold Emergencies - Much more! This zoom class will combine lecture, demonstration and guided practice to ensure you know what to do if the unexpected happens. In order to make the most of your experience, we recommend having some simple items available to you during your class. These items include, a stuffed dog or cat to practice on, a 6 foot nylon leash, a bath towel, popsicle sticks or similar items for splinting and basic bandaging supplies. If you do not have these items, you will be given the option of having us send them to you (for a nominal fee) prior to your class. After registering for this class you will receive a confirmation email with more class details and information on ordering class supplies. A link to the Zoom session will be sent to all participants two business days prior to class.
